When decorating a tent feel free to ask for easy tips and guidelines. Do not staple or tape decorating items to any tent part (i.e. fabric, wall, top, or poles). There are alternate ways to decorate without damaging the tent. Please ask the Thompson Tents staff for recommendations. See Policies.
Decorating Suggestions: Use Your Imagination, save pictures.
Choose a theme and a colour scheme. Decorating two poles at the entrance way can be as effective but not nearly as expensive as doing all the poles. Focus on areas instead of decorating it all. Covering the frame and the poles behind the head table will give you a better look as this is generally where many pictures are taken.
Decorate the tent the way you have dreamed your special day could be. Using a combination of tulle, mini lights and ivy or grapevine etc., can give the tent a fairytale quality. Other tent accessories and decorating ideas can be used in various quantities to achieve the perfect look. Please feel free to ask our staff if you are decorating yourself, or even if you are using another professional decorator to help make things easy.

Walls may be added to canopies but this is an additional charge.
Plain white sidewalls are included in all installed tent pricing. Cathedral window walls and black mesh walls are also available for any of our tents at an additional charge.

FLOORING
Rolla-Trac Flooring
Our grey utility grade flooring can be used inside or outside of the tent for pathways to and from your event. Deck flooring can be used as a base as is or with another type of floor covering, e.g. carpet. It is often used in the spring or the fall to cover wet or muddy areas. It can also be used for wheel chair access routes.
Black & White Dance Floor
Our top quality black and white checker dance floor will have you spinning and dipping on its smooth surface. This new flooring is installed on top of our grey flooring in outdoor events to ensure a safe footing while you whirl away. Indoor events it is out right on the floor and gives a 2 inch raise with silver edging.
LIGHTING (installed)
Minilights along the perimeter of the tent are an affordable and effective way to light a tent, giving an intimate and romantic look.
Spot light is the most affordable way to light a tent this aims a floodlight directly at the ceiling. This method of lighting gives a bright light sufficient for most events.
